Just back from Portland and Rockaway Beach, Oregon. I had a lovely trip, and reunited with a bunch of college friends, Kristina included. 
We had a great time seeing Portland, a really fun, quirky city full of independent shops and yummy food.
Among my favorite stops were the International Test Rose Gardens, the Chinese Classical Gardens, Voodoo Donuts, and Powell's Books. I could have spent days in Powell's. The knitting section alone was an entire aisle, with a great selection. Here are some pictures from the trip:
